This whole LOVE CAN series has been about opening our lives to God's love and activating His love in through our lives. It's moving it from thoughts to actions. We have our Love Can Christmas Project that has given us practical ways to activate God's love. This past Sunday we introduced Phase 2. On Sundays, we've been working through 1 Corinthians 13 to explore God's love and what it can do in our lives. Don't forget the last sentence before 1 Corinthians 13...chapter 12 ends with these words: "But now let me show you a way of life that is best of all."
Here's 3 ways you can activate God's love in your life in the next week so you can experience your best life:
1) INVITE YOUR ONE FRIEND - we all have this "one friend". It's the person we hope finds their best life in a relationship with Jesus. Christmas is a great time to invite someone to join you at church because people are more open to coming during the holidays. Don't miss this opportunity to invite your one friend. Make sure you get them anextra Christmas ticket or invite them to our Christmas Love Came Sunday on December 21. Be praying and investing and if they come, follow up with them by asking them what they think. Look for an opportunity to share about what God's love has done in your life. LOVE CAN reach your one friend.
2) LOVE WEEK - next week is Love Week and there will be a daily focus and some ideas to look beyond yourself. This is designed to be small acts you can do in the regular routine of life even in this busy season. LOVE CAN change everything one person, one act, one decision at a time. 3) NETWORK TEAM CHRISTMAS KINDNESS PROJECTS - This weekend there are projects in all four of our regional Networks to share some Christmas kindness. If you're a little nervous about doing a random act of kindness by yourself, this is a great option to do it with a team of people. They will be serving dinner or surprising people with cookies. You can still do your own RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS or GIVE TO THE LOVE CAN CHRISTMAS PROJECT to provide a "Pick-up for Produce" for the orphans at the House of Hope, for the first church start with Splanga & Verve, or to expand our reach to help more people connect in a relationship with Jesus.
