EASTER: 4 THINGS TO MAKE IT GREAT THIS YEAR
Easter is just a couple weeks away and it’s always one of our biggest Sundays of the year. You can find all the details here. Here’s 4 things we can do to own & live our out mission:
1) COME WITH A FRIEND: Bring someone with you. Easter is a great time to invite someone because people are more open to coming on Easter. This week, be looking for opportunities to ask someone to join you.
2) COME EARLY. EAT PASTRIES: We will be adding a 3rd gathering time so we will have 3 identical gatherings at 8:15, 9:30 & 11 am. Please consider coming to one of the early services to make space so our guest have a good experience and will hopefully continue to come back to explore God. If you come at 8 am we will have free pastries from Panera. Yes this is a bribe. Please come early.
3) PRAY: Please pray that people will have open hearts to connect with God, pray for the friend you are inviting, pray that God will speak through the service and our lives so others see God through us. Here’s the challenge. Pick which service you are coming to on Easter Sunday then set an alarm on your phone to remind yourself to pray over the next couple weeks leading up to Easter.
4) HOST: This Sunday on Easter, everyone is host. Greet people. Say hi. Don't just look for your friends. Look for people who need a friend. Help people find a seat or to the kids rooms. Treat people like their a guest at your host. You can make someone's day and that might be the one thing to make them come back to keep exploring God. Remember what is was like on your first Sunday and know people might be coming with some anxiety. We can be welcoming so those fears disappear and they can connect with God. Be a host this Sunday (and every Sunday too)!
